I have been a stay at home Mom for almost eight years. I feel right now my life has more focus on overall health and wellness than ever. I’m not getting any younger and I am trying to instill good habits in my young children. For the last several years I have been very dedicated to learning more about fitness and healthy eating. That’s why I decided to help others understand and offer information about Weight Loss and maintaining your weight as well as fitness and nutrition.

I get my cardio in most every day and do weight training a couple of times a week. For me working out is best in the morning. Very little gets in the way of it and I feel so much better when it is done. It cleans out the cobwebs so I can focus on the rest of my day. I have managed to drop twenty pounds and I have never felt better. I am now about the same size I was in high school. I have kept it off for almost three years. I didn’t even think that was possible after having two kids. I am now even more focused on eating right. I really try to push the vegetables and lean protein. Though I do believe if I want a piece of Chocolate I should have it. Life is too short to live without Chocolate!

Up until now my husband has been very supportive in my efforts and has recently begun to do cardio most days. In the past he would do a few days in a row then he would stop. He’s had great success so far. The thing he seems to be struggling with is all the vegetables. Don’t get me wrong he likes them he would just prefer to put some processed cheese all over them. I feel we need to provide a united front for the kids. They watch us very closely and pick up on the slightest things. Fortunately, the kids lately have been more open to trying new foods and recipes. I am hoping the dreaded chicken nuggets and frozen pizzas can be a thing of the past.

I feel life should be about balance. When the kids are home I am all about them and their needs. When they go to bed my husband and I have time to focus on each other which is the foundation of this family. Life is ever changing and I am always on the look out for new ideas and discoveries. I’m always asking myself how can I improve my life and my family’s. I hope you will join me on this new adventure of learning and sharing ideas regarding diet and Exercise.
